Contact ZoneFee

ZoneFee accepts fee data corrections, coverage requests, broken-source reports, and general questions. Use the form below to submit your message directly to contact@zonefee.com - on submit you stay on this page and a confirmation appears. If you prefer, you can also email contact@zonefee.com directly.

Send a Message

Pick the request type, fill in what applies, and submit. The message is sent directly to contact@zonefee.com from your browser; you do not need to open a separate email client.

Submission goes directly to contact@zonefee.com. If the form has trouble, you can email the same details to that address - subject line of the form [ZoneFee Correction] Jurisdiction, ST works well.

ZoneFee provides research and reference data only - no legal, engineering, or planning advice. Do not submit confidential project documents unless ZoneFee specifically requests them.

Submit a Correction by Email

If a fee amount, effective date, source URL, or jurisdiction detail on ZoneFee appears to be incorrect, outdated, or contradicted by an official source, send a correction to:

Email: contact@zonefee.com
Subject prefix: [Correction]

Include the following so the correction can be verified efficiently:

  • Page URL on ZoneFee that contains the suspected error.
  • Specific item (the exact fee, table row, sentence, or source citation).
  • Official source that supports the correction - a .gov URL or an officially published government document title with date and identifying reference.
  • Effective date of the corrected fee or rule, if applicable.
  • Screenshot or PDF of the official source where possible (especially for documents that may move or be paywalled).

Corrections are reviewed against ZoneFee's source hierarchy described in the methodology page and the data sources page. The full correction-submission workflow lives on the corrections page. If the proposed correction comes from a primary .gov source, the change is queued for a source review cycle.

Request Coverage

To request that ZoneFee add coverage for a city, county, water authority, special district, or fee category not currently on the site, email:

Email: contact@zonefee.com
Subject prefix: [Coverage Request]

Useful information to include:

  • Jurisdiction name and state.
  • Fee categories of interest - impact fees, zoning fees, utility tap fees, proffers, special-district overlays, or specific named fees.
  • Project context if relevant (e.g., underwriting a multifamily acquisition, evaluating a master-planned development, comparing proffer exposure).
  • Known official sources for the jurisdiction's fee documents, if you have direct links.

Coverage requests do not commit ZoneFee to a build date. Requests are evaluated against the criteria in the methodology page - statutory framework, document accessibility, market activity, and clustering with adjacent live records.

What to Expect

ZoneFee is maintained as a research project, not a customer-service operation. Messages are reviewed in batches. A few good-faith expectations rather than a binding commitment:

  • Acknowledgment of a correction or request is generally returned within several business days. Periods of higher inbound volume may extend this window.
  • Verified corrections are queued for the next scheduled verification or build pass for the affected jurisdiction. The visible page change is typically not same-day.
  • Coverage requests are evaluated as part of the regular expansion sequence. There is no guaranteed timeline; some requests are picked up quickly because they fit an active build cluster, others are queued for a future pass.

The contact form above and direct email to contact@zonefee.com are the only supported channels. There is no phone line and no in-person address. ZoneFee does not respond via social media direct messages.

Privacy of Submitted Information

ZoneFee accepts only the information needed to evaluate a correction or coverage request. There is no required field beyond what you choose to write in your email. Do not send personal phone numbers, home addresses, account numbers, social security numbers, or other sensitive personal information - they are not needed and ZoneFee does not retain them. Submissions are stored only as long as needed to act on them and to maintain a brief audit trail of how a correction was sourced.

If you ask for your message or email address to be removed from internal records after a request is resolved, that request will be honored. See the privacy policy for the full picture of what ZoneFee does and does not collect, and the terms of use for use boundaries.
