A dated record of real, shipped changes to ZoneFee. Page publications, sitemap reconciliations, doctrine updates that affect public surfaces, and verified fee-data updates are recorded here when they go live. Future entries will be added when work ships - no fixed cadence is promised.

2026-07-14 - Coverage promotion batch 2: 25 jurisdiction pages opened to search indexing

25 previously published jurisdiction pages across Texas, Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina moved from limited coverage to fully indexable after a closure-bookkeeping normalization pass. Each page’s fee inventory review is complete: every fee family is either verified against an official government source or explicitly documented as unavailable, not administered by the jurisdiction, or not applicable under state law. These pages were added to the site map, the sitemap files, and the coverage page live listings.

2026-07-13 - Coverage promotion: 73 jurisdiction pages opened to search indexing

73 previously published jurisdiction pages across Texas, Virginia, Maryland, Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina moved from limited coverage to fully indexable. Each page’s fee inventory review is complete: every fee family is either verified against an official government source or explicitly documented as unavailable, not administered by the jurisdiction, or not applicable under state law. These pages were added to the site map, the sitemap files, and the coverage page live listings.

2026-05-10 - Homepage search refresh, coverage card redesign, direct contact submission

Homepage hero search now returns inline results as you type instead of redirecting to the coverage page. Type a city, county, state abbreviation (VA, TX, MD), or short name (PWC, NoVA, Ft Worth) and the matching jurisdictions, fee subpages, and guides appear directly under the search field. Pressing Enter still opens the full coverage page with the query applied. The homepage now shows six featured jurisdictions instead of all twenty-five so the page feels like a product landing page rather than a directory dump; a "Browse all 25 jurisdictions" link surfaces the full list on the coverage page. The coverage page card grid was redesigned to match the homepage card visual language - serif title, mono caps state subtitle, single-sentence summary, badge pill (State hub / Jurisdiction / Fee subpage / Guide), and a teal "View" link with an arrow - replacing the prior dense link-and-pill layout. The contact page form now submits directly to ZoneFee instead of opening a separate email client; on submit a thank-you confirmation appears on the page itself. A direct email to contact@zonefee.com remains an alternative for users who prefer it. No fee data, schema record, generation flag, or jurisdiction page content was changed in this session.

2026-05-09 - Launch QA polish and social-preview upgrade

Closing-pass QA on the launch surfaces. The shared social-preview image (used when ZoneFee links are shared on Twitter / X, LinkedIn, Slack, and other platforms) was upgraded from a generic branded gradient to a screenshot-style preview that displays a real verified fee figure - the Frederick County, MD FY26 Public School + Library impact fee total of $19,408 for a Single Family Detached unit, effective July 1, 2025, with the source attribution visible in the image itself. A handful of jurisdiction pages had stray internal-process language in body copy and FAQ structured data that referenced internal extraction tooling by name; those phrases were rewritten in public-facing terms. No fee amount, effective date, or source URL was changed on any page.

2026-05-09 - Launch trust and navigation polish

Site-wide launch polish targeted public trust and discoverability. Header navigation extended to expose Texas, Virginia, Maryland state hubs, the Guides hub, and Contact alongside the existing Coverage, Methodology, and About links - across all live pages with active-page indication. Homepage hero subtitle tightened, an above-the-fold "find your jurisdiction" search added, and a sample fee-data preview section now shows three live source-backed examples (Frederick County MD, Round Rock TX, Prince William County VA). The contact page now has a structured request form (correction / new jurisdiction / broken source / question) that opens a pre-filled email message in your default mail client. The methodology page and about page were refreshed to reflect the current 25-jurisdiction multi-state coverage. Public-facing copy on jurisdiction pages was reviewed for internal-process language; pages now describe their state in operational terms ("limited coverage," "in this review cycle," "official-source review") rather than internal pipeline labels. Mobile theme toggle now keeps its label visible. No fee data was changed in this session.

2026-05-08 - Tier 2 trust and depth foundation published

Published the four Tier 2 support and trust-depth pages: data sources, corrections, FAQ, and this changelog. Site favicon added across all live pages, removing the previous favicon.ico 404. Site-wide footer extended to surface the new pages alongside the Tier 1 trust and legal links.

2026-05-08 - Tier 1 trust and legal foundation published

Published six Tier 1 trust and legal system pages in one execution: about, contact, privacy, terms, disclaimer, and site map. Founder image added to the about page and optimized for fast loading.

2026-05-08 - Sitemap and limited-coverage consistency cleanup

Aligned the XML sitemap and the public site map so they list only fully published jurisdiction pages. Underlying jurisdiction pages were not modified. Pages where one or more fee families are still under official-source review remain in limited coverage and are not listed on the site map until that review completes.

2026-04-27 - Loudoun County, VA published

Published the Loudoun County, VA jurisdiction master and the Virginia state gateway. First Virginia jurisdiction on ZoneFee.

2026-04-24 - Homepage published

Published the ZoneFee homepage with live jurisdiction cards and the locked design system (teal-700 chrome, serif H1/H2). Header wordmark migrated from a non-clickable span to a link.

2026-04-16 - Round Rock, TX published

Published the Round Rock, TX jurisdiction master and the impact-fees and zoning-fees subpages.

2026-03-27 - Texas state gateway and coverage page published

Published the Texas state gateway, the coverage page, and the Georgetown zoning-fees and utility-tap-fees subpages.

2026-03-26 - First ZoneFee pages live

Published the Georgetown, TX jurisdiction master and the methodology page. These were the first ZoneFee pages to go live.

Future Entries

Future fee-data updates and jurisdiction additions will be logged here when they are verified and shipped. ZoneFee does not promise a weekly, monthly, or quarterly update cadence - entries appear when there is something real to record. The methodology page describes the rolling maintenance workflow ZoneFee uses to re-check existing records, including the 12-month review interval ZoneFee aims for as a target rather than a guarantee.
