Roadway Impact Fees

Round Rock assesses roadway impact fees under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 395. Fees are due at building permit application. The fee amount depends on the service area in which the property is located and when the final plat was recorded.

Phase 4 Rates (Final Plat After January 1, 2025)

Service Area Residential (per service unit) Non-Residential (per service unit)
Area A $3,444 $1,722
Areas B, C, D $2,291 $1,145

A service unit is based on peak-hour traffic generation, road length, and national traffic standards. It is not the same as a Living Unit Equivalent (LUE). A standard single-family home is approximately 4 service units.
